Brainstorm is the third chapter of David Černý's anatomical atlas. It proceeds in order of the importance of individual organs. So after the clitoris and the heart, it's the brain's turn. And when you say brain, you have to say mind in the same breath. And no other spirit in history has supported the mind and creativity quite like absinthe. Van Gogh and Ernest Hemingway could tell you all about it… Brainstorm looks back to the legends of the 19th century — a time when it was believed that absinthe could awaken visions, enhance creativity, and unlock the hidden corners of the mind. The myths about its hallucinogenic effects were debunked long ago, but the fascination with the "green fairy" endured. And it is precisely on this tension between reality and legend that our new absinthe is built. Brainstorm is a tribute to the traditional recipes of the great Belle Époque houses, yet with a modern twist. Beyond the classic trio of wormwood – anise – fennel, we have enriched the distillate with herbs that humanity has associated for millennia with wakefulness, dreaminess, or deeper focus. Into the still went the blue lotus of the Egyptian pharaohs, a symbol of calm and meditative relaxation. We added gotu kola, an herb prized by Indian monks for its ability to support a clear mind. And rounding it all out were guayusa leaves — leaves that hunters in the Amazon traditionally drank before night expeditions to sharpen their senses. The result is an absinthe that is not built on hallucinations, but on story, symbolism, and aromatic complexity. It smells of flowers, earth, and roots, with a gently herbal undertone that takes traditional absinthe into entirely new layers. It is a distillate that honours craftsmanship — while also having the courage to tell a new story. We don't claim that our absinthe opens other worlds. But we believe it can open a different perspective: it invites you to pause, to moments of silence, to a return to your own imagination. And if there is any magic that the Green Fairy truly deserves, it is precisely this. There are just 120 × 0.5l bottles and 30 × 0.8l bottles in a collector's edition of hand-blown bottles by Martin Janecký — a glassblowing legend whom even Leonardo travels to meet, just to touch his work, share a coffee, and brainstorm.
