…where sound turns into image, and image into story…

The exhibition PIVA+SLOVE SKIBIDI SMICHOFF presents a dialogue between two distinctive artistic personalities, Ivana Junková and Jan Slovenčík, whose work differs in its approach to medium yet is united by an interest in space, family memory, and symbolism.

This exhibition is not a presentation of two separate individual approaches, but rather a demonstration of how visual art can become a medium of partner-like communication between creative identities. Junková brings a quiet strength, while Slovenčík contributes visual energy. He works with installations, ready-made objects, visual signs, paintings, and architectural structures, and is an advocate of the classical sculptural approach. She works with painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture, often in the context of architecture and public space, while remaining delicate, meditative, and deeply personal.

He uses the exhibition space as a stage where a visual play unfolds between sculptures, paintings, designs, reliefs, drawings, and the viewer. His works are conceptual, ironic, and provocative. She perceives space as a living organism that communicates with itself. For her, space is a stage where a visual dialogue takes place between painting, sculpture, object, and the viewer.

PIVA+SLOVE SKIBIDY SMICHOFF is an exhibition that invites both reflection on family relationships and an adventurous visual journey. It is a place where sound turns into image, and image into story.

Together, they create a composition that resonates not only in the gallery but also within the circle of friends and followers of their work.

Ivana Junková and Jan Slovenčík are graduates of the Studio of All Sculpture at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, led by Professor Kurt Gebauer.
