Quo Vadis
A Trabant car body balanced on human legs — one of Černý's most iconic works. Originally created as a symbol of the absurdity of the communist era, Quo Vadis questions where we are headed.
Each piece is carefully packed in a branded Musoleum wooden box with foam padding, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

The origin story
During the autumn of 1989, thousands of East Germans took refuge in the West German Embassy in Prague, waiting for permission to emigrate. Černý first created a Trabant — the symbol of socialist mobility — standing on human legs in the Embassy garden, in direct reference to this moment of historical rupture. The work asks: quo vadis? Where are you going?
