Porsche
A wall-mounted composite miniature from David Černý's Origins of the End of the World series (2020). The piece takes the form of a Porsche — one of the world's most iconic symbols of speed, status and masculine desire — finished in a deep iridescent glaze and fitted, quite literally, with a pair of testicles. Sleek and provocative in equal measure, it hangs on the wall like a trophy head: the ultimate catch.
Each piece is carefully packed in a branded Musoleum wooden box with foam padding, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

The origin story
What drives the world toward its own end? David Černý has a suggestion. In 2020 he created Origins of the End of the World, a series of 16 mixed-media works — and I. sets the tone from the start. A Porsche with balls. Not metaphorically. The sculpture strips away any pretence and puts the subtext right there on the surface: power, ego, desire, and the absurd pride we take in all three. Černý doesn't lecture. He just mounts it on the wall and lets you laugh — then think.
