Banana
Banana is a limited-edition miniature sculpture from David Černý's Origins of the End of the World series. Rendered in mixed media, the piece transforms a mundane everyday object into something unmistakably suggestive, with a deadpan wit that is signature Černý.
Each piece is carefully packed in a branded Musoleum wooden box with foam padding, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

The origin story
Origins of the End of the World is a series of sixteen mixed-media works created in 2020, each featuring an ordinary object — a microphone, a drill, a banana — that bears an unmistakable phallic resemblance. The series is a characteristically provocative reflection by David Černý on male ego, power, and the absurdity of the forces that might just bring about our collective downfall.
